General Details (All Locations)

Time: Start time is 10:00am. Course length depends on the number of students.

NOTE -- this course is delivered via Zoom.

General Tips:

  • You will need to have a computer/laptop with Lightroom loaded on it.  We HIGHLY recommend that you download Lightroom at least 3 days before the class begins. Please email us if you are having ANY issues at all. This way we can solve them before class begins.
  • Please note that if you are purchasing a new version of Lightroom for this course we require that you have the Lightroom CLASSIC version. You can download the Photography Plan (20GB) from Adobe here (the plan that includes LR, LRC - which is the classic version we will be working on -  and the Photoshop bonus). Any version of Lightroom up to and including Lightroom 6 is fine as well (so Lightroom 3, 4, 5 & 6 are ok still, please don’t feel the need to get the Lightroom Classic version). Please note: there is also a 7-day free trial option, which you may wish to consider as well.
  • Please bring pictures that you would like to edit. We will work on these during the class.
  • After you complete the course you will receive electronic course notes as well as an invitation to our online course so you can review this content as often as you would like.

Weather Policy

Many of our locations for Digital 1, Digital 2 and People have versatility to go indoors in case of inclement weather so postponements don't happen.  For courses like Digital 3: Landscape and Night Photography weather can play a role. We may postpone these courses if any of these conditions are present:
  1. If the forecast predicts rain or snow of 50% probability or higher.
  2. If the forecast predicts that the day will be more than 50% cloudy or overcast.
  3. If the forecast predicts that temperatures will not rise higher than 10C for the day. Your safety, comfort and enjoyment are our highest priority. Photography should be FUN! (Not cold, or wet…). Unless of course your Landscape workshop is showcasing a winter wonderland.
  4. If the forecast predicts that temperatures will exceed 32C for the day and/or there is a Heat Warning issued by Environment Canada.
  5. If there is a weather warning (such as an Extreme Cold Warning or a Snowfall Warning) issued by Environment Canada (you have to be able to get to our course safely).

Decisions regarding postponing will happen 24 to 48 hours in advance and exceptions may be made in certain circumstances.  You will get an email from us or your coach notifying you of any postponements.
