Digital I - Beginner Photography

General Details (All Locations)

Time: 10am to 4pm.

General Tips:

  • The majority of our course DURING SUMMER (April - October) is outdoors. Please dress appropriately for conditions. This includes warm clothing, hats, sunglasses, sunscreen, bug-spray and other possible requirements. Watch out for the possible course weather cancellation approximately 24 hours in advance to the start of the course. You can find our weather cancellation policy in the terms and conditions located here.
  • There is quite a lot of standing and walking during these courses, so please pack lightly (you may want to leave any very large and heavy zoom lenses at home).
  • Make sure you charge your batteries as we will be taking hundreds of photos during the course. Bring a spare battery if you have one. If possible also bring your charger as there is some opportunity to charge your battery throughout the day.
  • Clear your memory card so that you have lots of space for pictures during the day.
  • You will not need a tripod for this class.
  • Bring a lens for this course. Only one lens is required but please bring all of your favourites so you can try them out through the day! Also bring prime (single-focus) lenses if you have them.
  • Lunch is provided. Please let us know ASAP if you have any dietary restrictions.
  • Course notes are included in the session. You may wish to bring extra paper and pen to take notes but most of our students get through the day and remember what is taught without supplementary notes.
  • We recommend bringing a bottle of water too.
